Notice of 2020 Annual General Meeting
Hunters Property Plc (the “Company“), the UK’s largest franchised sales and lettings agency brand, is pleased to announce that its 2020 Annual General Meeting will be held at the offices of Hunters Property Plc, Apollo House, Eboracum Way, York YO31 7RE on 19 June 2020 at 10.00 a.m. (BST).
At the date of this announcement, the UK government has imposed various restrictions on public travel and group gatherings to combat COVID-19. At the advice of the Chartered Governance Institute (ICSA), the Company has adapted the basis on which it will hold the Annual General Meeting. Paragraphs 1 to 5 (inclusive) of the Notes attached to Notice of Annual General Meeting include provisions that the Company deems necessary in relation to hosting the Meeting, which reflect such guidance provided by the government / ICSA.
Assuming the restrictions are still in place at the date of the Meeting, and in order to reduce the risk of spread of infection, the Company will conduct the Meeting so that the members as far as possible exercise their voting rights by proxy or through CREST (if they are registered to do so). As such, you must not attend the Meeting and may only vote in accordance with the instructions specified in the notes attached to the Notice of Annual General Meeting.
The Company confirms that the Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2019, Notice of Annual General Meeting and Form of Proxy were despatched to shareholders today on 26 May 2020. The Annual Report and Accounts and the Notice of Annual General Meeting are also available to view on the Company’s website at www.hunters.com.
